In the following review I will not cover every aspect of the SR5. When I produced my last album I was not totally satisfied with the bass-sound and it was time to look for something more realistic. Just for comparison: My previous bass-instrument uses only 2,9 GB. Our topic today, the SR5 Rock bass 2, is created from 26 Gigabyte Samples. The name of the company is Prominy and you can look at their offerings on their homepage What sets them apart from competitors is the level of detail, which they deliver. Today I want to introduce to you a lesser known company from japan, which has developed some impressive virtual instruments. The availabilty of massive harddisk-space for the normal user let the sample-libraries become bigger and bigger and the more samples the more realism. VST-instruments or Sample-libraries made a hughe progress over the years and today I often can not detect, if I hear a real or a sampled instrument. If you are one of those home-producers like me, who are not playing twenty different instruments, you are forced to work with VST-instruments.
